This Chinese antique Gundeng is over 400 years old and originates from the Henan province.

The workmanship of this Chinese antique is solid and it is made of elm wood.

Some of the red lacquer is still present on this Chinese antique and it is in remarkable condition.

The rollers are supported by wood pegs built into the frame of this Ming Dynasty furnishing.

This unique and very rare Chinese antique is similar to a Q'ing Dynasty Gundeng that sold at a Christie's auction, London in 2004/09/21 (Lot 5).
